We cover employer relations, home and safety matters, personal conduct and what to expect when working in a Singapore household.

Helpers have access to CPR + AED training by SRFAC-certified instructors and, where relevant, specialist infant or elder care training conducted by qualified Singapore Nursing Board-registered nurses.

One-to-One Home Eldercare Training

Personalised training in the home

For eligible CTG-supported eldercare placements, we can arrange one-to-one caregiver training in the care recipient’s home, conducted by a qualified nurse.

What Families Tell Us

Real feedback from families we’ve helped.

A Calm Presence at Home

“We’re thankful for the recommendation of a helper who brings a calm and patient presence to the household. She takes initiative, looks for things that need doing and complements the family’s needs and personality well.”
The right match goes beyond experience and skills — personality and temperament matter too.

She Just Knows What Needs to Be Done

“As a first-time employer, having a helper who is proactive and needs little prompting has taken a big load off our shoulders. She also makes an effort to connect with our three children, and they are comfortable around her.”
The right helper can make everyday life feel lighter — especially when she understands what needs to be done.

We Found Our Rhythm

“It took time for us and our helper to get used to each other. With counselling and guidance from Psalm 23, we gradually learned to work together. Today, she is a valued part of our household and provides good care for my mum.”
A good match can take time to settle — and the right support can make a difference.

I Can Focus on My Work

“After trying several helpers for infant care, I finally found someone who genuinely cares for my baby. Knowing my child is well cared for gives me peace of mind and allows me to focus on my work.”
For working parents, dependable childcare can mean greater peace of mind at work and at home.

The Training Gave Me Added Confidence

“I appreciate that my helper received fully sponsored eldercare training. Together with her previous experience, the additional training gives me greater confidence that she can care well for my mum.”
Experience matters — and the right training can build even greater confidence.
Common questions

Good to know before you hire

Hiring directly can seem simpler, but an agency can take care of much of the process and give you support beyond finding a helper.

With Psalm 23, you receive:

  • Careful Screening & Matching: Helpers selected with your household’s needs in mind.
  • Paperwork Handled: We manage the required documents and applications.
  • Placement Support: We guide you through each step until your helper arrives.
  • 6-Month Replacement Support: Up to 2 replacement placements within the first 6 months, with no additional agency fees*.
  • Air Ticket Included: No additional air ticket cost for your helper’s journey to Singapore for agency placements.
  • Post-Placement Guidance & Counselling: Support for both employers and helpers after placement.
  • Sponsored Training: Access to additional training in Singapore — CPR + AED, infant care and elder care where relevant.

Our aim is not simply to place a helper, but to make the hiring process clearer and give you support when you need it.

*Government and third-party costs still apply. Replacement arrangements are subject to our terms and conditions.

The total cost depends on factors such as the helper’s experience, nationality, Work Permit requirements, insurance and other government or third-party costs.

We provide a clear, itemised quotation so you can see exactly what you are paying for — with no hidden fees.

Not sure what your budget should be? Contact us for a free, non-obligatory consultation and we’ll give you a realistic estimate based on your household needs.

Timelines vary depending on the helper, documentation, medical clearance, Work Permit processing and travel arrangements. Generally:

  • Ready-to-transfer helpers already in Singapore: Can take as little as 1.5 to 2 weeks, where documents and arrangements are in order.
  • Overseas helpers: Around 3 to 5 weeks.

We’ll give you a realistic timeline once we understand your requirements and the helper you are considering.

We first try to understand the situation and help both sides work through it. This may include counselling, clearer communication, guidance or additional training where appropriate.

If the placement remains unsuitable, you can receive up to 2 replacement placements within the first 6 months with no additional agency fee. Government and third-party costs still apply.

If you’re still unhappy after 3 placements within the first 6 months, a 50% agency fee refund may apply, subject to our terms and conditions.

Our support doesn’t stop when your helper arrives.

We remain available post placement to help employers and helpers navigate adjustment, communication and employment-related concerns.

You can reach us for guidance on matters such as leave arrangements, misunderstandings, tricky household situations and other employment-related concerns. Where appropriate, we may also provide counselling or recommend practical solutions or additional training.

Our aim is to help address issues early, before they become a reason for the placement to end.
